Pre-Primary Activity: Janmashtami Celebrations

‘Haathi Ghoda Palki, Jai Kanhaiya Laal Ki!’

The energetic chants of preprimary and primary dipsites, filled the air as the festival of Janmashtami was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm by DPS Bopal on 18.08.2022.

The campus was decorated beautifully, especially for the significant event of ‘dahi-handi’, which is an important part of the legends of Lord Krishna’s mischievous childhood. After the traditional ‘aarti’, primary children made a human pyramid allowing the ‘natkhat’ Kanha to climb atop them for the

‘matki-phor’.  The ‘makhan chor’ was overjoyed and danced in merriment with the teachers and children.  

The story of the birth of Krishna was shared with children through a PPT. The festivities signified the values of faith and unity and the vibrant celebrations concluded with prasad distribution.
