Primary School Activities
AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV
Delhi Public School, Bopal- Ahmedabad ushered into the
76th Independence Day,
Azadi-Ka-Amrit-Mahotsav, with much gaiety
and alacrity. The fortnight-long event set in motion from 1st to
15th August 2022 wherein Junior School
participated in an array of activities
with immense patriotic fervour.
It
all began with the discovery of the essence of Independence;
India’s struggle for independence, through short films, videos and
presentations. It helped inculcate a sense of belongingness towards the
nation amongst the students and was palpable as they could not only be seen
singing patriotic songs from the core of their heart but also
crafted their patriotic feelings through colours and artwork and painted the
school campus in tricolours creating just the right commemorative ambience.
As a gesture of appreciation and respect for India's rich heritage and
diversity, the enthusiasts took pride in exploring various art forms such as Madhubani, Warli,
Kalamkari painting and many more. Their exhilaration had no bounds as
they tapped their feet on the famous dance forms of different states such as
Bhangra, Kathakali, Bihu etc which contribute towards the embodiment of
unity in diversity. The youngsters also very passionately took
part in ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’
campaign and hoisted the national flag there by
invoking
a sense of nationalism in everybody’s heart. The
pinnacle moment came when around 2000 of these young citizens created a
human chain in the school campus and welcomed the 76th year of
independence altogether, displaying the power of unity and the grandeur of
their heartfelt nationalism. The aerial view of the same received a huge
applaud and garnered unimaginable likes and appreciation from the viewers on
various social media platforms. |
